Seawater Desalination is fast becoming one of the world’s solutions to a lack of fresh water in many countries around the world saving lives and making life easier for many in need. It is also an important step in slowing down rising sea levels as we remove water from the oceans. It is a small step as the sea levels rise with global warming, but every little bit helps as coastal erosion and flooding loom.

One of the main benefits of desalinating water is that is also cleaned at the same time, so users can drink water free of bacteria, viruses, and other contaminants.

The future of desalination is going to involve magnets as seen in this video link

There have been great strides in the field of desalination in the past few years. We now have plants that float on water and are powered by wind and solar energy. There are also ships that have desalination systems on boards which is most convenient when bringing water to areas that need it most. Many young inventors are coming up with simple residential methods to desalinate water on a small scale powered by renewable energy.

We’ll keep growing our list of resources pertaining to this vital industry in hopes that the world will get properly and more evenly hydrated while helping to reduce rising sea levels. Let’s use the seawater for good purposes before rising sea levels wreak havoc on shoreline communities.
